2. Estructura del future continuous

• La forma afirmativa

• La forma negativa

Las oraciones interrogativas en future continuous cuentan con sus propias respuestas cortas.

- Will you be watching the debate, tonight?

- ¿Verás el debate esta noche?

- Yes, I will.

- Sí, lo haré.

3. ¿Cómo se utiliza el future continuous?

El future continuous se utiliza para:

• Expresar una acción que se estará desarrollando en un momento específico del futuro. La acción habrá empezado antes de ese momento concreto y continuará después del mismo.
  

  At 6:00, he'll be giving a lecture on motivation.

  A las 6:00, estará dando una conferencia sobre motivación.

  

  This afternoon I won't be working in the garden.

  Esta tarde no estaré trabajando en el jardín.
• Expresar predicciones o suposiciones sobre eventos en el presente o en el futuro.
  

  In 20 years' time, I'll be flying through space.

  Dentro de 20 años, estaré volando por el espacio.

  

  Paul probably won't be studying now.

  Paul probablemente no estará estudiando ahora.
• Expresar acciones inacabadas que se prolongarán en el futuro. La acción ya se está realizando en el momento presente.
  

  I'll be ironing all morning.

  Estaré planchando toda la mañana.

  

  He'll be reading for a good while.

  Estará leyendo durante un buen rato.
• En oraciones interrogativas, para pedir información sobre el futuro educadamente.
  

  Will Mike be having lunch with us?

  ¿Mike comerá con nosotros?

  

  Which optional subjects will you be taking?

  ¿Qué optativas vais a coger?
